Quit THIS!

I've stopped smoking! It's not friggen easy either - I've stopped before I quit smoking for just over a year one time - and then again I quit for a 7 month period - WHY dis I start again? It was so easy to! I'd be out drinking or partying - thinking I could smoke one with my beer and my friends about... that lead to another that to another and so on - Needless to say I'm 32 and I've smoked for the majority of 22 years - SICK I know not to mention I grew up in a house with both parents smoking inside and in our cars with us!

SO - Here's something I found on a fellow Bloggers page since he's quitting too!

enjoy! I'll keep you posted... BTW - I'm on day 9 now just over 2 weeks! Wahoooooooo I'm a non smoker I think? We'll see!

What Happens to Your body if you stop smoking Right now?
In 20 minutes your blood pressure will drop back down to normal.
In 8 hours the carbon monoxide (a toxic gas) levels in your blood stream will drop by half, and oxygen levels will return to normal.
In 48 hours your chance of having a heart attack will have decreased. All nicotine will have left your body. Your sense of taste and smell will return to a normal level.
In 72 hours your bronchial tubes will relax, and your energy levels will increase.
In 2 weeks your circulation will increase, and it will continue to improve for the next 10 weeks.
In three to nine months coughs, wheezing and breathing problems will dissipate as your lung capacity improves by 10%.
In 1 year your risk of having a heart attack will have dropped by half.
In 5 years your risk of having a stroke returns to that of a non-smoker.
In 10 years your risk of lung cancer will have returned to that of a non-smoker.
In 15 years your risk of heart attack will have returned to that of a non-smoker.

I'm going to be the last social misfit left on the planet with a smouldering stubb hanging from my lip, aren't I?

Damn it - it was going to look so cool when I saved the world without ever putting my cigarette down.

On the other hand, you've made a good decision, and I wish you the best of luck. Just remember you're not just quitting smoking, you're getting your life back!

Thank you! And when you save the world and the smoke blows in my face I promise to not be that guy who's complaining about smoke in my face! Instead I'll be saying how impressive it was that you kept the smoke in place so smoothly!
